I’ve neglected my blog. Life isn’t boring or dull. Lots of change has made me too busy to reflect, I guess. Commonweal had a hugely successful 2009. Tom Weber, Rochester Post Bulletin said, “There’s a good reason the Commonweal Theatre in Lanesboro has managed to achieve the milestone of having produced 100 plays: It has earned the trust of audiences.” http://commonwealtheatre.org/reviews.html Now, the new year (almost the new season) I’ve started a new position within the company: Director of Development. Big tasks, big money (raising, not making), full schedule, full brain, lots of stress, less sleep. I’m sure it will be great. Now I’m still learning.
I’ve had some good weekends off in the winter months though. We try to work more normal business hours during the pre-production season. Mondays through Fridays – though it’s rare to go home by the 5:00 “normal people” time. I went to Memphis for auditions with Hal. Good times. It snowed. It’s supposed to be warm there. Jason and I met up with Pat and Megan in Door County last weekend. Love it. We rented a cabin, did lots of shopping, made good food. Jason and I went snow shoeing. That was fun; more for Jason who thought it was hilarious that I kept falling. As really, snow shoeing is just glorified…..walking.

Otherwise, life is life. The kitties got new litter boxes; sad, but that is really exciting to me. No more pee on my walls. Stuff like that cheers me up. Like rearranging furniture. Or watching Grey’s Anatomy episodes. Ah…the good life.
